On day 2, you’ll reach Andenes, the top location in the world for whale watching. Hop on a speedy RIB boat for an unforgettable expedition in the Arctic waters. Since you're sitting low on the water in a RIB boat, you'll feel the power of the ocean and enjoy spectacular views of these impressive creatures.

During this time, various species migrate through these nutrient-rich waters. Besides the majestic sperm whales, which stay here year-round, you might also encounter orcas, pilot whales, humpback whales, or fin whales. The experienced guides share their extensive knowledge about the ecosystem, always emphasizing respect for the animals and their natural habitat.

The activity lasts about 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the location of the whales. It's an intense and educational experience that lets you get closer than anywhere else.

Participation requirements:

• Clothing: Wear warm, windproof clothing and sturdy shoes. We will provide a special floatation/warm suit, gloves, and goggles on-site.
• Check-in: 45 minutes before departure for the mandatory safety briefing.
• Language: Basic knowledge of English to understand the guide's instructions.

On day 3, you'll swap your campervan for a boat and set out into the ocean to meet the most charming residents of the north. The puffin, with its colorful beak and distinctive flight, is an icon of Vesterålen and the Lofoten.

As the boat sails past steep bird cliffs and remote rocky islands, you'll see thousands of these “clowns of the ocean” nesting, diving, and soaring through the air. It's a vibrant spectacle that you can admire like nowhere else. With the wind in your hair and your camera ready, you'll enjoy a unique perspective of the rugged coastline while the guide tells you all about the fascinating lives of these Arctic birds.

As you glide through the crystal-clear, mirror-like water, you’ll enjoy the serene tranquility and expansive views of the untouched landscape around you. It’s the ultimate way to admire the sharp peaks of the Lofoten wall from the other side. Whether you’re an experienced kayaker or stepping into a boat for the first time, the combination of the salty sea air and the stunning nature surrounding you makes this an absolute highlight of your trip.

Accidents can happen, so we recommend adding a damage waiver to your registration. This insurance costs you €37 per day and covers the vehicle when you or someone from your team is behind the wheel. By selecting this insurance, you won’t have to pay a deposit.

No damage waiver? Then you will need to pay a deposit of €1000 before departure, and a deductible of up to €3000 may be required in case of damage.
